Clipsal C-Bus
Clipsal C-Bus is a microprocessor-based control and management system. It controls lighting and electrical services such as Blinds, Irrigation, Alarms, Windows, Appliances, Underfloor Heating, Fans, Pumps, Motors etc. The C- Bus system uses input and output units to trigger actions. All the input and output units are installed on the C-Bus network and, from there, programmed to turn loads on and off, dim lights, adjust the speed of ceiling fans, etc.

How does the C-Bus home automation system work?
C-Bus Home Automation uses a patented method to update the status of its units. This method does not require a central computer or controller to handle databases or lookup tables.
The status of each C-Bus unit is initiated at specific time intervals without the need for a central controller. Each device is allocated a specific time frame to broadcast its status, synchronised by a self-generated system clock pulse.
This allows large amounts of data to be transmitted in a very small time frame, effectively and reliably on the network, leading to low processing overheads and low bandwidth requirements.
